World of Warcraft: When online interests collide

September 18, 2008

I’m on Facebook and am quickly becoming a Scramble addict. Scramble’s an online version of the old Boggle game that you can play within Facebook with your friends. You have a board of letter tiles, and you make as many words as you can by connecting adjacent letters in a certain amount of time. Since the clock is ticking I do a brain-dump and type in as many words as I see. Unfortunately, these online games have tainted my vocabulary.

Here’s a sample of the words that *I* see every day that Scramble has unceremoniously rejected.

  • woot
  • pwn
  • fel
  • mmorpg
  • rpg
  • wtb
  • wts
  • noob
  • wtf
  • hks

Have you ever said “woot” in real life? Embarrass yourself in the comments below!
