Ding! One year old!

Happy 1st Blogiversary to me!

A little over a year ago, I created a staff blog on CourierPostOnline. It was called “Web Wanderings” and it was going to be a fantastic little blog meant to share all the cool websites I came across in my decade-and-a-half of surfing the web.

After the first post (I think it was on Wikipedia) I realized it was boring as hell to read and, even worse, boring as hell to write.

I didn’t want to scrap the blog altogether. I wanted to write about something that was fun, yet something that would provide me with a lot of material to write about. Like a hobby. Except my one hobby, beading, doesn’t make for good reading. My other hobby; however, was an constant source of laughter and frustration. And thus, “World of Warcraft Wanderings” was born.

And look! My little hobby blog is one year old! today!

One year has brought this blog:

• 125 posts,
• 126 comments,
• 2 blogging platforms
• (not to mention hundreds of parenthesis – I know I have a problem with that)

We saw a new expansion pack! This year saw Akromah and The Warlock go from level 70 to level 80, Leota go from 39 to 53, and Malerenne go from 57 to 61.

And before I dorkily blew out my candle last night, I wished for another year of WoW bloggy goodness with the “phat lewt” of more comments and more visitors.

Thanks to The Warlock for his support, to my guildmates for their encouragement, and especially to all of you (even the lurkers who don’t comment), for a fantastic and fun year.

Let’s do it again!
