Friday Haiku

April 3, 2009

For our next meme, we were tagged by both Kestrel and Gaming Diva for the haiku challenge. So we did one for each of our “main” characters.

Akromah (Holy Paladin):
Keep your Red Bull can.
When lives hang in the balance
I give myself wings.

Leota (Frost Mage):
Desert, jungle, plains.
Wherever you want magic
I can make it snow.

Sengir (Affliction Warlock):
Fear Dot Dot Dot Dot
Lifetap, Drain Life, rinse, repeat
Master of Demons

Embalmo (the tweaked-combat-dagger Rogue):
I walk in shadow
Oh look, I see a shaman
Time to sap a cow

Spike (the Undying):
The perfect partner.
Resilience is his forte.
Behold the cockroach.

I’m tagging Psynister of A Dungeon Master’s Notebook and Samodean of Hardcore Casual. If you don’t have a blog but want to share your haiku, drop them in the comments below!

Leota never went back to Outland, choosing instead to operate out of Vengeance Landing. I do see a performance difference between a level 68 character in greens and a level 70 character in purples, but I attribute that to Leota working solo. Akromah had Sengir with her for most of the trip to 80. I gotta tell you, Trail of Fire was a nail-biter as a solo clothie. That is, if I still bit my nails, which I haven’t since January and oh my gosh I need a stress ball or something. There was a lot of strategic sheeping going on, but Leota managed to successfully escort the Apothecary from behind enemy lines.

And last night she had her first Northrend instance run with a guild party consisting of:
Tank: Level 70 Frost Death Knight
Healer: Level 70 Resto Shaman (it is SO weird being healed by someone else)
DPS: My guy, the level 80 Something Rogue, my Mage Jedi Master, the level 80 Frost Mage, and Leota, level 68 Frost Mage.

The tank had no chance of keeping aggro, by the way. But it was a lot of fun, punctuated by the other mage and I re-polymorphing the same target. (*poof* Turtle! *poof* Pig! *poof* TURTLE! *poof* PIG!) Very reminiscent of the Fairies & Sleeping Beauty’s Dress.

Leota picked up the Reinforced Velvet Helm off of Prince Keleseth. Then promptly after the run picked up the quest to kill Prince Keleseth.

So I foresee a trip back to Utgarde Keep pretty soon.

Enjoy your WoW weekend!

I’m not sure if I should remind you of how I can time your totems to hop in, sap you, and hop back out before your totem ticks.

Oh wait, I just did remind you of that. Gosh, sorry about that. 🙂
